When using TagFlash to read/write an ECU via OBD, you must connect the Mini Gender Adapter.
The Mini Gender Adapter is the yellow adapter included in the package (see below).
In OBD mode, use the Gender Adapter, which cuts pins 3, 8, 9, and 11—this is essential for safe programming and reading.
Warning: Using TagFlash in the car without the Gender Adapter may damage your adapter.
For BDM or JTAG mode, connect directly without the Gender Adapter.
