How to Fix ECU Bench Tool Read/Write EDC16 Error S1 S2?
Problem Description:
Users of the ECU Bench Tool have encountered errors when attempting to read and write various EDC16 ECUs. The specific errors reported are S1 and S2 pinout errors. These issues have been observed with the following ECUs:
EDC16C31
ED16C34 PSA ECU (2 instances)
Mercedes EDC16C2
BMW EDC16CP35 ECU (2 instances)
Solution:
To resolve the S1 and S2 pinout errors, follow these steps: Reset the Device: Locate the small hole on the back of the ECU Bench Tool, which contains two diodes. Inside this hole, there is a reset button.
Connect to USB: With the device connected to the USB port of your laptop, press the reset button.
Save Original File: After resetting, try to save the original (ori) file again.
